Flexibility

To complement our Yoga programs and unique FlexFactor technology, we also offer a flexibility program for mind and body. This program will educate you on the importance of stretching, proper stretching techniques as well as the dos and don'ts of stretching.

An individual's emotional state can affect their level of flexibility. If you are under stress your muscles tend to be less flexible and out of balance.  If your body is relaxed it can be more responsive to flexibility training.

In our flexibility program we will incorporate relaxation techniques such as visualization, breathing and other mind-body techniques designed to reduce stress. Our philosophy is that an individual needs flexibility of the mind and body to be in balance and to perform at optimum levels.

As an individual gets older, it becomes more important to improve your level of flexibility to offset age-related stiffness and optimize functional movement in daily life.

Flexibility training is perhaps the most undervalued component of exercise and athletic programs. Flexibility of the muscles and joints play an integral part in many fitness and athletic movements. Stretching along with aerobic exercise and strength training is a key part of your exercise program.

Besides preparing your body to exercise, engage in an athletic program or optimize functional movement in daily life, stretching helps maintain a full range of motion of your joints. As a result of engaging in a flexibility regime, performance can be enhanced and can also minimize the risk of injury.
